The Gift of Creativity

I have been thinking lately about how important writing has become in my life.

There are parts of my life that are difficult and beyond my control.

And yet, I can sit down with a thought, begin writing, and become completely absorbed in the process of discovering what I actually want to say.

I love that process.

Finding the words for something I have felt but haven’t yet been able to name. Watching a poem or an essay take shape.

Writing fills me up. There is a deep inner satisfaction in creating something that began inside me and giving it form.

Writing also helps me make sense of what I am experiencing. What I discover through the process often changes how I relate to myself, how I see my experiences, and how I live. Sometimes, it also becomes something I can share with others.

No matter what else is happening in my life, I have writing.

It brings me joy, purpose, and a sense of inner nourishment.

I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t write.
